Coffee Talk with Metro Arts is our monthly community gathering where artists, neighbors, and anyone looking to get involved in the Nashville arts scene can connect and share their stories. Join us to learn about upcoming projects and opportunities, and meet the people creating exciting new art in Nashville.​

Our next Coffee Talk is Wednesday, August 5 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at The Exchange Running Collective (966 Woodland Street).

For early risers, we’re offering a Coffee Talk collaboration run at 8:30 AM. Participants can meet at The Exchange Running Collective for an out-and-back jog or walk to Witness Walls, Metro Arts’ commissioned public artwork by Walter Hood commemorating Nashville’s Civil Rights Movement. Located at Public Square Park, this pre-event activity offers a chance to get moving and reflect before joining the full gathering.

For this Coffee Talk, The Exchange Running Collective team will talk about how they blend running, community, and local art. Guests from the Tomato Arts Fest will also share updates about the upcoming festival. Metro Arts staff and local artists and creative leaders will be on site to share information about upcoming events and art crawls.

A paid parking lot is located next to The Exchange Running Collective, and free street parking is usually available on Russell Street and Fatherland Street within a short walk.

Coffee will be available for purchase throughout the morning from El Gato Negro.
